Noise Floor is a body of seven mixed media abstract works that asks what happens when the signal breaks down — when the noise underneath everything becomes the thing itself.
In audio, the noise floor is the hum a room makes when nothing is playing: the sound you are supposed to ignore. These paintings treat that residue as the subject. Each surface is built from acrylic, spray paint and ink, layered through mark-making, obliteration and intervention until something raw and alive comes up out of the static.
It is a deliberate rejection of the sanitised interior I was trained to produce. Signal and noise, structure and destruction, the designed world and the one that keeps bleeding through.
